This is a fun dance party remix of some of the hottest dance hits released over the past 6 months. This extended mix also includes some of the best producer/dj/remix artists out there - including Moto Blanco, Tony Moran and Warren Rigg, Jody den Broeder, Armin Van Buuren, and Jason Nevins. While this mix doesn't break any new ground - you can't beat the price, and the selected artists include established stars and new talent you may mot have discovered. deadmau5 and kascade, and Utada, are artists that dance and house music enthusiasts need to discover. (Check out deadmau5 and kaskade's "I Remember" and deadmau5 "Faxing Berlin").
As for breaks in the music after downloading - if you use Itunes - just go to the file info (after highlighting all of the songs in the album) and check gapless playback.

Boom Boom Pow is to Hip-Hop what We Built This City is to Rock-'N-Roll.
BEP accomplishes the rare feat of making bad music in a down economy, when great art tends to peak. Such bravado being preached as the bleeding edge of music, yet uses the tired auto-tuned style as a crutch.
I understand the hooks in this track--hey I bounced my head to Hammer, Ice, and the Factory...when I was in Jr. Higg. While I can look back at those "artist" with a smile, there's nothing remotely interesting with Boom Boom that I can relate to even in a cheesy nostalgic way.
Expect this song to make Blender's Top worst tracks of all time 50 soon after its fad passes.

Grizzly Bear's debut album, "Horn of Plenty," was prototypical freak folk, quite in the vein of contemporaries like Animal Collective, Deerhunter and Yeasayer; with a tinny, lo-fi sound and a rather limited sonic palette, the album was a study in the avant-garde, mixing the rock and folk orthodoxies of yore with the technology of the twenty-first century. They were nonetheless a dynamic, electrifying group, especially galvanizing live, as their rap-rock performance of "Knife" with Girl Talk at the 2007 Pitchfork Music Festival and numerous others equally as fresh and exciting evince. 2006's "Yellow House" found them more focused than ever, having carved out a niche for themselves somewhere in-between Animal Collective experimentalism and Fleet Foxes purism. Here, in 2009, they have, by some considerable distance, produced their most accessible and best album, continuing to refine the sound of "Yellow House" and infusing it with pianos and keyboards and other instrumentation which they had previously shunned. The result is their most focused outing yet, with songs that are instantly stunning but also seem to unfurl over time; with each spin, the listener becomes aware of something new, some small, seemingly insignificant sonic nuance that eluded him at first and somehow manages to shake things up completely.
From the swingy, triumphant opening, "Southern Point," where frontman Ed Droste passionately intones, "You'll never find (But I'll return to you) / You'll never find (When you return to me)," to the spare and cryptic beauty of the closer, "Foreground," the listener is afforded nary a second to rest or take in the better songs in the album. Rather, "Veckatimest," not unlike Animal Collective's "Merriweather Post Pavilion," is meant to be taken in holistically. While on first listen, it all seems like somewhat of a blur, repeated listening attunes one to the smaller scattered details that make the album so cohesive and appealing at first blush. The only songs that are not outright hits are "About Face" and "Fine for Now," but even these, with some repeated listening, will grow on the listener. Nevertheless, tracks like "Cheerleader," the ubiquitous and infectious "Two Weeks," the beautiful, epic detachment of "While You Wait for the Others," the hushed, simmering "I Live With You" and the whimsical "Dory" more than make up for these slight and forgivable missteps. Ultimately, though, "Veckatimest" is nothing more and nothing less than a consummation of all of their initial promise. As such, it is absolutely essential and destined to become a cult classic. Get it now.

My interest for this album was sparked by Stevie Winwood's appearance at Clapton's Crossroads Festival Crossroads: Eric Clapton Guitar Festival 2007. That was just the appetizer for this feast of sublime musicianship. I feel that Clapton produces his best work when he collaborates with others, and this album just goes to prove my point. Clapton and Winwood compliment each other so well that the resulting musical magic is so warm, it glows. It doesn't hurt that the band behind them are stellar musicians as well.
'Live from Madison Square Garden' is one of those rare treats that makes you feel good just listening to it. Do yourself a favor and get it now!

relapse isnt eminems best work but it is definitely worth buying. he goes back to harder beats and being more serious but at the same time has his fun side with goofy lyrcis that make you laugh and say wtf! i still think marshal mathers and eminem show are his best work but its good to have eminem back in the rap game because this is a cd that rap needs badly! its a cd that you can listen to straight through without skiping because every song is worth listening to over and over again

This album just stinks. It's boring and uninspired. It's an unfortunate attempt to create a rock opera such as Tommy or Quadrophenia. The ballads are blah and the only songs that rock with any melody or style are Horseshoes and Handgrenades (sic), Know Your Enemy, and American Eulogy/Mass Hysteria. If you are looking for the 2009 update to Dookie or Nimrod, please heed this Warning. Note to Green Day: It's been 15 years since Woodstock '94, and it's showing, boys.

I caved in this weekend and let my wife pick this movie, (but only because I got two other movies for myself) and we were kind of let down. This was one of those cases, and most female oriented movies are, that the previews almost turn out better than the actual movie. Even my wife commented on how they were so mean and rude to other men that we both could not figure out why anyone would marry either of them. There was not enough story development to make it worthwhile. I definitely would not buy this one. Rent it first, and then if you like it, buy it.

I know that arguing Bond flicks can often be like debating Red Sox vs. Yankees so I will toss down the gauntlet and say Quantum of Solace is one of the top non-Connery films. Daniel Craig is excellent as Bond and he does it in such a fashion as to appear that, much like Connery, being a spy can get in the way of his excellent taste and social life.
That being said, Craig does an excellent job in smoldering from his previous mission and this film has a plot which may not be believable but then again, it maybe in the near future. Let's be honest, no one watches Bond films to learn about the world. Once again the stunts are amazing and incredible. There are elements, like in every Bond film, which are laughably bad but the emphasis is on laughable.
I haven't seen every Bond film but I can say with certainty that this one beats all of the Roger Moore and Timothy Dalton films put together. I only wish they would bring back John Cleese! :)

"Taken" is one of those movies for your personal library. Liam Neeson does a convincing job of demonstrating the virility and vitality of the aging Baby Boomer. He's what Jason Bourne grows up to be. Neeson's character doesn't knock you over with quick quips and a bevy of beauties. He's merely a dedicated former government agent who has learned some "tricks" of the trade. The screenwriter did an excellent job of creating a "He-man" without becoming a cliché'. By Neeson recovering his daughter where his ex-wife's new rich husband isn't able to rise to the occasion, says the man who can really protect his family with sheer prowess is the better man. How could the ex-wife go back to a normal life when the real man (Neeson) lives across town? Of course, all this is subtle subtext.
The salient point is that Neeson is amoral, doing what is appropriate for the situation to affect an ideal outcome. Neeson does the unthinkable in ways that are believable. No extraordinary special effects, no superhuman feats only possible for a man 20 years younger. In short, just plain old "Americana." Man encounters challenge. Man meets challenge head-on. Man triumphs!
I highly recommend "Taken". Neeson exhibits the subtle charisma of a Harrison Ford.

I am a HUGE fan of the Sookie Stackhouse books. What is funny though, is that I did not start reading them until I had heard of this show. I fell in love with the books from the first one I read, so it was good I bought the boxed set of the books. I was done with all 6 of those books in a week!!!
I have patiently waited for the series to come to DVD, as I do not have HBO and had not seen a single episode. It was interesting to see the books come to life, and in many ways they were true to the books. In oher ways, the show went in tangents that were boring, uninteresting, and just downright weird. The whole Tara story line is just out of left field. Perhaps the writers were trying to give the readers of the book something to be surprised by? It was unnecessary for me. I was not keen on Paquin for the role of Sookie, but she grew on me as I watched the show.
In the end, I WILL watch season 2 (am subscribing to HBO right before it starts), and my husband, sister, mom, and cousin will be watching as well (all people who have watched my season 1 DVDs).
